Marshele Carter Waddell's first year as a master's student at UNC-Chapel Hill was quite eventful.
In addition to taking several classes each semester, she introduced her latest book,Wounded Warrior, Wounded Home: Hope and Healing for Families Living with PTSD and TBI, and shared the news nationally on such notable programs as the Diane Rehm Show.

MA Grad leads Ft. Bragg press unitArmy Lt. Col. David Gercken, who received his master's degree from the School in 2007, assumed command of the 10th Press Camp Headquarters at Ft. Bragg.
He previously was public affairs officer for the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army in Washington, D.C. The 10th PCH is the senior of only two such press units in the Army Forces Command. Its mission is: "1) Credentialing and badging media covering troops and operations; 2) embedding media with units; 3) escorting media interacting with troops; 4) acquiring video and print/photo stories for dissemination to internal audiences (such as troops, DoD civilians and family members) and external audiences (such as the American public through social media and traditional media." |
