Video explains sports-related head injuries
Students in Bruce Curran's Video Communication for PR and Advertising class have produced another informative video, this time to assist the Matthew A. Gfeller Sport-Related Traumatic Brain Injury Research Center here at UNC.
The two-plus minute video uses a news story format to explain the ins and outs of sports-related concussions. The student team members are Producer Jamie Stanley, Director Erin Owenby, Writer Chesley Bently and Editor Adam Bowers..
"It serves as a nice, simple PSA on sport-related head injuries that will impact those from the general population who view it in a meaningful way," said Jason P. Mihalik, Center co-director and assistant professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science. The video will be featured on the Center's website and will be shared with high school sports programs initially in North Carolina and then nationwide.
